I am so sorry that you guys have been sick! Hoping everyone turns a big corner this week.
I'm most looking forward to being more intentional all around this year. Health, study, family, business - all of it. I haven't read a fiction book in as long as I can remember and I finally started one, YAY! It's been so nice looking forward to reading more of the story. Looking forward to more time for things like that this year :)
Thanks T! I definitely feel us about to emerge, which feels nice. It's been frustrating in some ways but a really, really good time for forced rest. I love the focus on intention -- hope I can support you in that! AND YAY FOR FICTION! What are you reading?!
I love your word choice, friend. I hope it comes to you and fills in all the unexpected, beautiful ways a word can. I'm still mulling a lot of the same themes you've written about here over re: social media. Maybe especially that one called "noise." It's going to take some discipline on my part to weigh what matters, too. Hope you all feel well very, very soon!
For 2024, I’m looking forward to reading more books(Harry Potter #2-7), spending time with family, learning the electric guitar, baking, going to Disney World, and hopefully getting into Franklin Christian Academy😊
Kristine-we ended the year the same way. I got the flu the week before Christmas, I finally broke a fever and my husband woke up with one. Christmas was shifted, we did get to do a few things, but I'm still feeling the aftereffects. I'm looking forward to getting back into my writing routine, such as it is. Praying you all feel better soon. Happy New Year.
I didn't want to like this comment Penny! I am SO sorry you both ended up with the flu, and so staggered at that. We felt like dominoes over here and yet Cliff, who has notoriously been the first down with almost every round of this particular virus (except the last), is still going strong. Praying you both continue recovering and have a restful start to your new year. Happy New Year to you as well!
Thank you for the gentle nudge to pause and listen to that beautiful music. My soul needed that this morning ♥️
One thing I so look forward to in 2024 is the quieting of my own self right along with you. Letters written in fountain pen, sealed with wax. Film. Leisurely walks out of pure enjoyment. Poetry perhaps? Definitely art. Lots of messy art. Also? My own space here on SS.
That song found me right when I needed it this weekend, and I knew I had to share. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I am SO HOPEFUL for this year for both of us, and so thankful to have you to walk through ALL the parts with, good and bad. It's going to be a beautiful year.
Oh how I feel this to my bones. The illness, the rejection, the grief, the disillusionment with S.M., and the quiet confidence to rise again. I’m so excited to be connected this way so I can continue to be enriched by your words ❤️
Thank you for this reflection. Soft is your word for next year, I understand. I want to snap my fingers *quietly* to those words, saying, yes, amen, word, all so softly, contentedly, quietly into next year. So much of my writing this year has come from calmly finding the stillness, the hush of the moment, wherein the potential of thought and world humbly awaited me. Here’s to the new year. Cheers 🥂 tchin-quietly-tchin
Just thinking of that soft snapping makes me smile. I'm so looking forward to seeing what this year holds in store for your writing journey, and thankful we connected in 2023. Cheers to you, as well, C.I.!

Thank you for your words! The peaceful 4 minutes to begin reading your writing were so nice -I can’t wait to see more in 2024! Love you sister!

And the writing of course!!!😘
😍🥰 thank you!!
I’m in it with you for this next year! Here’s to listening more in 2024. It’s going to be a great year for you.
I know you are! And it means everything to me. It's going to be a great year for you, too. Love you!

I'm so glad to know this resonated with you, Olivia, and so thankful we've connected and can remain so here and in other ways. Grateful for you!!
