I've always thought that it would be amazing to be able to write poems as easily as it seems to come to you and as it used to come to dad. It's an amazing skill that I've never felt like I knew where to start exactly.

I used to struggle with the expectation that I’d get it right and perfect to start… so trying (and struggling, failing, trying again) is something that took me a long time to be okay with. And even still, I sometimes forget!
